ACPO Working Group on Armed Policing
West Mercia Police hosts the secretariat serving the Association of Chief Police Officers' Working Group on Armed Policing, with the lead being Deputy Chief Constable Simon Chesterman.
Responsibilities include the maintenance of the Authorised Professional Practice (APP) for Armed Policing (inc. less lethal weapons) and the National Police Firearms Training Curriculum. APP Armed Policing module is available to all members of the police service who have a 'pnn' email address using the following web link: www.ncalt.pnn.police.uk/app/ and via the Police Online Knowledge Area (POLKA) Knowledge bank.
