West Mercia Criminal Justice Board
The West Mercia Criminal Justice Board is responsible for the performance of the criminal justice system in Herefordshire, Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Worcestershire.
Its brief is to improve the way agencies responsible for delivering justice locally work together in order to reduce crime further and make West Mercia a safer place to live.
The board comprises chief officers from:
- The Police
- Crown Prosecution Service (CPS)
- HM Court Service
- HM Prison Service
- Probation Service
- Youth Offending Service
- Legal Services Commission
- Victim Support and Witness Service
West Mercia Criminal Justice Board is chaired by Paul West, Chief Constable of West Mercia Police.
