Safer Roads Partnership in West Mercia
The Partnership was launched in April 2007 and has been created by a range of public sector agencies with the sole aim of making roads in our region safer for all users.

THINK! Road Safety

The Department for Transport THINK! campaign aims to create a greater public awareness of all road safety issues.

Highway Code
The Highway Code is essential reading for everyone. Its rules apply to all road users: pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists, as well as motorcyclists and drivers. Read the online version at direct.gov

Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA)
RoSPA is a registered charity and is actively involved in the promotion of safety in all areas of life. The charity also offers advanced driving and motorcycling courses.

Brake
Brake aims to stop deaths and injuries on roads through awareness-raising campaigns, including Road Safety Week and educational resources including leaflets, posters and advertisements.

Roadpeace
RoadPeace represents the interests of bereaved and injured road crash victims.

Motoring Organisations

Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM)
The IAM provides useful information and safety advice for all drivers and riders and offers advanced driving and motorcycling courses.

The Drivers and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA)
The Government agency responsible for registering drivers and vehicles and collecting vehicle taxation.

Vehicle & Operator Services Agency (VOSA)
VOSA oversees MoT testing, supports the traffic commissioners and enforces standards of maintenance for road vehicles.
