Exploitation & vulnerability training
Our Exploitation and Vulnerability Training workshops are available to anyone living or working in Herefordshire, Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin or Worcestershire.
Available both online via Teams and in-person delivery, the workshops aim to cover the various aspects of vulnerability and the signs and symptoms of exploitation.
Parent\guardian sessions
The exploitation and online safety session aims to raise awareness and provide valuable insights on how to protect vulnerable children. The session will cover:
- Spotting the signs that your child might be being exploited
- How to keep your child safe online
- How online influencers might be shaping the views of your child
- Practical tips for you to help to keep your child safe online
- Why some children are more at risk of exploitation than others
Professional\people who work with children sessions
The exploitation and vulnerability session aims to raise awareness and provide valuable insights on how to protect vulnerable children. The session will cover:
- Why some children are more at risk of exploitation than others
- Spotting the signs that a child might be being exploited
- What exploitation is (child sexual exploitation and child criminal exploitation) including consent
- County lines and cuckooing
- What is modern day slavery
- The impact of using victim blaming language
Exploitation and modern day slavery - adult safeguarding session
The exploitation and modern slavery session aims to raise awareness and provide valuable insights on how to protect vulnerable adults. The session will cover:
- Why some children and adults are more at risk of exploitation than others
- Spotting the signs that a child/adult might be being exploited
- County lines and cuckooing
- Modern day slavery
- The impact of using victim blaming language
- Who can help
Knife Crime Awareness and Prevention for Professionals
The knife crime awareness and prevention training session gives professionals a grounded understanding of:
- What knife crime is, why it happens, and how to respond effectively in their roles.
- Explore the social factors that contribute to knife‑related behaviour, the warning signs to look out for, and practical strategies for early intervention and prevention.
Participants will leave with greater confidence, better awareness, and actionable tools to help keep individuals and communities safer.

Each session lasts approximately:
- Parent\guardian session - 60mins
- Professional package - 90mins - 120mins
- Exploitation and modern day slavery - adult safeguarding - 60mins
- Knife Crime Awareness and Prevention - Professional - 1 hour and 15 minutres
