Stop And Search Figures 2010-11

The number of Stop Searches conducted is influenced by a number of factors including local community tensions, the targeting of crime trends and the occurrence of large festivals and events.

In 2010/11 West Mercia Police conducted 10783 Stop Searches, 1312 (12 percent) resulted in an arrest being made. The table below shows the arrest rate according to ethnicity as monitored by the West Mercia Police Authority Equality and Human Rights Panel every six months.
