Expenses
In this section you will find the travel and hospitality expenses for West Mercia Police's senior officers and police staff.
Travel expenses are reimbursed where they have been necessarily incurred while exercising duties. Hospitality is extended when it facilitates the policing business or is considered desirable as a matter of courtesy and protocol. Figures quoted for hospitality include any reimbursements for food, drink and accommodation costs.
As of November 2011, this section shows the expenses claimed by all officers of superintendent rank and above and senior police staff.
Expenses are published every quarter for Chief Officers and also include claims made for their work in support of the Association of Chief Police Officers.
For senior police staff and officers of superintendent and chief superintendent rank, expenses will be published monthly. All expenses will remain available for a rolling 12 month period.
This section is currently under review and will shortly included the expenses of all officers of superintendent rank and above and senior police staff. We will be publishing this data in December to cover the period November 2011.
