Requesting Information

West Mercia Police provides a great deal of information openly and freely through its Publication Scheme, in many cases saving the need for an application.  We also publish the answers we have given to our previous requests for information in our Disclosure Log .  Please check this first to see if someone else has previously requested the same or similar information.

Should you still be unable to find the information you require, you can make a request for it under the Freedom of Information Act.

Requests for information about general policing should be sent to:

West Mercia Police
Information Compliance Unit
PO Box 55
Worcester
WR3 8SP

Telephone:
01905 331565 / 331545

or alternatively email: [email protected]

If you are seeking information that the force may hold about you as an individual, please refer to our Data Protection section to find out how to go about requesting it.

What Details Do I Need To Include When Making A Request?

So that we can deal promptly with your request, please remember to include the following information:

  • Your name and address
  • The information or specific documents you would like to receive
  • The way you would like to have the information sent to you - (e.g. CD or DVD, via email, paper copy).

West Mercia does not charge a fee for the first copy of any information but may charge for reasonable costs of reproduction and postage for any subsequent copies. See our list of charges for more information.
