Telford Volunteer Cadets
Established in 1996, the Telford Volunteer Cadet Scheme has gone from strength to strength, winning both local and national acclaim.
Open to 16 to 18-year olds living in the Borough of Telford & Wrekin, the scheme aims to give young people an insight into the police service as well as encouraging friendship, teamwork and citizenship.
Cadets meet on Thursday evenings at Malinsgate Police Station and also spend a week at an activity centre in the spring and a weekend at the force's headquarters during the winter.
