Introduction From The Divisional Superintendent

North Worcestershire, which covers Bromsgrove, Redditch and Wyre Forest remains a safe place to live and work. Crime is low here compared to national figures and there have been significant successes in bringing the most serious offenders to justice.

While there was a slight overall increase in recorded crime across North Worcestershire last year, that should be seen against a backdrop of successive reductions which saw crime levels at their lowest for four years. A fall in the number of anti-social behaviour incidents in the last 12 months reflects the continuous hard work of officers to address community concerns.

We are committed to delivering the promises made in our policing pledge . An important component of this is the provision of local policing and crime information on the force's website. Crime statistics are available for each local policing area and are updated monthly.

Our 31 local policing teams work closely with communities to achieve local solutions to local problems. The PACT process is going from strength to strength, providing a forum for people to identify and agree upon which issues are addressed as local priorities.

We will continue to work closely with our partners, particularly the Community Safety Partnerships, to further reduce crime and anti-social behaviour.

Of our many challenges in the coming year, one key aim is to further boost public confidence and satisfaction in the division by providing a high quality service to everyone we come into contact with. Although surveys currently indicate that a very positive 85.9 per cent of people are satisfied with the service they receive from us, we are continually looking at ways to improve.
