Introduction
The South Worcestershire policing area is split into three districts – Worcester City, Malvern Hills and Wychavon – and serves a population of approximately 290,000 people. There are 32 local policing teams supported by teams of response and specialist police officers, police staff and Special Constables. The area command is in Castle Street, Worcester, and is headed by Superintendent Mark Travis.
In South Worcestershire we remain committed to promoting community safety, improving public confidence and satisfaction in policing services and protecting the public. We place great importance upon listening to the needs and concerns of our communities and seeking a clear understanding of what is important to them.
Over the next year and beyond, our aim is to work smarter, operate using streamlined processes and focus all of our efforts on serving and protecting the public of South Worcestershire in the best and most effective way that we can.
