Introduction

The Telford & Wrekin policing area is split into five districts – Central, Newport, North, South and Wellington – serving a population of 162,100 with diverse and emerging communities, all of whom deserve their own style of local policing. There are 20 Safer Neighbourhood Teams supported by teams of response and specialist police officers, police staff and Special Constables.  Collectively, these officers work for the community tackling a wide range of serious crime and quality of life issues on a daily basis.

The area command is at Malinsgate and is headed by Superintendent Nav Malik.

In Telford & Wrekin we remain committed to promoting community safety, improving public confidence and satisfaction in policing services and protecting the public. We place great importance upon listening to the needs and concerns of our communities and seeking a clear understanding of what is important to them.

Over the next year and beyond, our aim is to work smarter, operate using streamlined processes and focus all of our efforts on serving and protecting the public of Telford and Wrekin in the best and most effective way that we can.
