£10,000 Rare Blue Land-Rover Stolen From Worcester
Police Worcester today (10 March) issued a picture of an extremely rare £10,000 metallic blue Land-Rover Defender 90 stolen from the city's Pitchcroft car park between 7pm on 9 March and 7am on 10 March.
Owner Martin Grice, of Bath Road, Worcester, believes that it may have been taken as early as 9.30pm and 10pm on Tuesday as a neighbour of the near-by property at which Mr Grice was staying overnight recalls hearing the vehicle's equally distinctive engine noise at around that time.
"The missing vehicle - registration X285 SEJ - was sprayed with blue metallic paint normally used on Land-Rover Discovery and Freelander vehicles, but not Defenders," said a police spokesman.
"It also has ZU five-spoke alloy wheels, a Scorpion Racing front-bumper, North Off-Road ‘tree-slider' sills and a black vertical exhaust system used for off-road ‘mud-plugging' events, all of which make it even more distinctive."
Anyone who believes they saw anything suspicious involving the vehicle between the given times, or who thinks that they know its current whereabouts, is urged to call police on 0300 333 3000, quoting 66S/100310. Information can also be given - anonymously - to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
