Man Assaulted In Redditch

Police are appealing for information about an assault in Redditch in which a man was injured.

It happened at around 10.30pm on Friday 9 December at the Woodrow Centre, by the Golden Phoenix Chinese takeaway.

There was an altercation between a man in his 40s and a large group of youths during which the man received injuries mainly to his head, and also his hand and chest. He was taken to the town's Alexandra Hospital and released after treatment.

A youth has been arrested on suspicion of wounding and has been released on police bail until 7 February pending further inquiries.
