Woodrow And Greenlands PACT

Police are looking into whether a school bus pick up point in Redditch can be moved after complaints about elderly residents being disturbed.

The issue was raised at the latest Woodrow and Greenlands PACT (Partners and Communities Together) meeting, which took place on 13^th September.

Local Policing Officer PC Nigel Bennett said residents of Auxerre Hoise, who were mainly elderly, were being disturbed by youths making noise while waiting for their school bus in the mornings, and they also found groups of youths intimidating.

PC Bennett is looking into whether the pick up point can be moved.

The other issues included complaints of urinating in the lift in Auxerre House and rubbish in the yard area not being collected, and Redditch Borough Council will be investigating this.

Lorries accessing a depot via the wrong route, causing noise for residents of Studley Road, was also raised. PC Bennett is to request the depot inform companies using the site that lorries should be accessing it via Howard Road.

Residents chose a fourth priority of dog fouling on the footpath between Auxerre House and the Woodrow centre, and PC Bennett is to make the council enforcement officer aware.

Updates on these issues will be given at the next meeting, which takes place on Thursday 11^th October at 7pm.
