Appeal After Fuel Stolen From Hadley Building Site
Police in Telford are appealing for information after fuel worth more than £1,000 was siphoned from vehicles at a building site in Hadley.
Fencing around a property on High Street - which used to be known as Gladstone House and is currently under redevelopment - was broken down in order to get onto the site some time between 5pm on Wednesday, 26 September and 7.20am on Thursday, 27 September.
It is estimated over 1,000 litres of fuel was then stolen from construction vehicles and a tank kept on the site.
PC Andrew Dawson from Malinsgate police station said: "This happened in a built up area and I am hoping that someone may have seen something which could help us with our investigation into this theft.
"Whoever stole the fuel would have needed a large vehicle to take it away, and I would appeal to anyone who saw any suspicious vehicles or people hanging around the site to get in touch."
Anyone with information about this incident can call PC Dawson on 0300 333 3000, quoting 73S 270912 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
