Armed Robbery In Hagley
Police are appealing for witnesses to an armed robbery in Hagley, North Worcestershire.
It happened at around 7.25pm on Tuesday, 30 October.
Two men with their faces covered went into the Co-Op store on Worcester Road, armed with a kitchen knife and what is believed to be a screwdriver.
They forced the two members of staff to open the safe and hand over a substantial quantity of cash.
The offenders were disturbed by members of the public and made off in a black Nissan vehicle in the direction of Stourbridge. The vehicle had been stolen from the Wolverhampton area earlier that evening.
The offenders are both believed to be white.
Detective Constable Clare Pearson of West Mercia Police said: "Fortunately no one was injured but the staff were extremely shaken.
"The vehicle they used had been stolen from the Ettingshall Park area of Wolverhampton about an hour before the robbery, and has not yet been recovered."
