Assault After Drum And Bass Night - Worcester

Police in Worcester are appealing for witnesses after two people were assaulted following a drum and bass night in a city club in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday, 19 January).

The incidents took place at around 03:10am in Angel Place, between the Ask and Angel Chef restaurants. A group of five men were involved in assaults on two other men.

One of the men received minor injuries while the other was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening facial injuries.

PC Andrew Knowles said: "These were particularly nasty assaults and we would ask anyone with any information to contact police immediately.

"We hope a number of witnesses will come forward as the area was very busy with people leaving the drum and bass night held at Tramps nightclub that night."

Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the evening.

A man was arrested in Worcester in the early hours of this morning on suspicion of assault. He remains in custody at Worcester Police Station, Castle Street, while enquiries continue.
