Attemped Burglary Near Kidderminster

Police are appealing for information about an attempted burglary at a house near Kidderminster.

It happened in Stakenbridge Lane, Churchill, at around 3.15pm on Tuesday 20 December.

A man rang the doorbell of a house. When the occupant did not go to the door he began kicking and attempting to force the door, presumably believing it was empty.

When the occupant called out he ran off in the general direction of Churchill.

Around £200 damage was caused to the door.

The man is described as white, with a very pale complexion, aged 18 to 20, of very slim build, clean shaven, and wearing hooded anorak over a hat or a cap, with grey jogging bottoms.

PC Adrian Bartlett of West Mercia Police said: "Police are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area at the time and may have seen anything to contact us on 0300 333 3000 quoting incident 373-s-201211 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
