Bottles Of Wine Found In Hagley

Police in Hagley are trying to trace the owner of 77 bottles of wine recently found in a wheelie bin at the side of Hagley Community Centre.

The unopened bottles were found on New Year's Day morning by people clearing up from a party there the night before.

They are a mixture of red and white and some appear to be vintage.

PC Chris Evans from Hagley said: "The bottles are not in pristine condition and look as if they may have come from someone's cellar.

"They may have genuinely been disposed of but we would like to hear from anyone who may have had a large amount of wine stolen or may know where this wine has come from."

Anyone with information should call PC Evans at Hagley police station on 0300 333 3000, quoting reference 359-S-030112.
