His image was captured on CCTV at Morrisons in Wellington and anyone who recognises him is urged to contact police.

Officers are eager to speak to the suspect in relation to a shoplifting offence at Morrisons in Wellington in April this year. They also want to speak to him in relation to the use of a stolen bank card at the same supermarket on the same date.

The man is described as white, aged in his mid to late 40's, around 5ft 10ins tall, wearing a Burberry baseball cap, a khaki jacket, dark trousers with two vertical white stripes down the leg and white trainers with black stripes.

A Telford Police spokeswoman said: "A woman lost her purse outside Pussy Cats nightclub in Wellington following a night out on 1 April this year. The woman called her bank later that day and was told a transaction had been made. The card was immediately cancelled.

"Following enquiries it was established that the card had been used at Morrisons supermarket in Wellington.

"We are eager to speak to the man pictured in connection with our investigation and would ask anyone who recognises him to contact police."

Anyone with information should call West Mercia Police Public Service Officer Miss Janice Gibbs on 101.
