CCTV Appeal After Cash Stolen In Hereford Burglary

Do you know these men? CCTV 1CCTV 2 CCTV 3CCTV 4Police are releasing CCTV images of two men they would like to identify following a burglary at a house in Hereford, in which an elderly woman was present while thieves stole money from her home.

Two men were captured on camera inside the property in the Hunderton area of the city, which is believed to have been entered via an insecure door or window on Monday, 8 October between 12pm and 5pm.

After the men had left, it was discovered that a quantity of cash had been stolen from the property.

Detective Sergeant Tim Dugmore is in charge of the investigation into the burglary. He said: "The victim - a woman in her 80s - was present during the incident. No one her age should have to experience such a thing.

"Unfortunately, this is not the first time this woman has been a victim of crime and that is why we installed a camera inside her house, which has allowed us to capture this footage.

"We need to identify the men in the CCTV images in order to establish what they were doing inside the house and see if they know anything about the stolen money.

"If you know who they are, or recognise yourself as either of the men in the images, then please call us as soon as possible."

West Mercia Police has recently launched Citadel, a large-scale operation aimed at driving down the number of burglaries across the force area and bringing burglars to justice.
