CCTV Appeal After High Value Burglary At Worcester Phone Shop

CCTV ImagePolice in Worcester have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to about a burglary at a city centre phone shop.

The Three store on High Street was burgled between 8.30pm and 8.45pm on 10 April. It is believed the offenders had managed to get hold of a set of keys and used them to get in via the front door of the shop.

A significant number of mobile phones were stolen in the incident.

Detective Constable Vanessa Haller is leading the investigation into the burglary. She said: "This is a high value burglary in which thousands of pounds worth of mobile phones were taken.

"Over the past months, we have managed to confirm the details of the dark Volkswagen Golf used by the offenders, which we believe to be connected to people from the Quinton and Shard End areas of the West Midlands.

"Evidence from the scene shows that the vehicle was driven by a black man and it is thought another black man and also a white man were involved in the burglary.

"Despite this, we are yet to identify those responsible for the burglary and we are keen for anyone who knows anything about it to get in touch.

"In particular, we would like to trace the man in this CCTV image who may have vital information which could help us with our investigation.

"I would urge anyone who recognises him to call us or, if you are the man in the image, contact us straight away so that we can eliminate you from our inquiries."

Anyone with information about this theft can call Det Con Haller on 0300 333 3000, quoting 585S 100412 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
