CCTV Images Released In Disorder Investigation
Police officers investigating a large incident of disorder that occurred in Telford town centre back in May, have today released a series of CCTV images of individuals they wish to identify in relation to it.
The incident occurred in Central Square on Saturday 26 May.
At just after 2am, CCTV shows a large fight breaking out close to the Vox Wine Bar.
The fight appeared to involve two separate groups of people and perhaps as many as 20 individuals in total.
As a result of this incident a number of people appeared to suffer minor injuries while one man - a 23-year-old - was taken to hospital after it for treatment for abdominal injuries.
It was later discovered that this man had suffered three broken ribs.
A police spokesman said:
"This appears to have been a major incident of disorder and we are keen to identify anyone who was involved.
"We will not stand for this type of behaviour in Telford and therefore we are releasing a number of CCTV images today in the hope the public can help us identify some of the individuals shown on the stills.
"We would ask anyone who identifies any of the men captured on the footage to contact us as soon as possible, but it is probably were noting that we suspect that some of the individuals involved in this disorder were not local to Telford.
"We believe one of the groups involved in this disorder contained men from elsewhere in the Midlands and therefore we would ask people from outside Telford to study these images too.
"Anyone who believes they may have information about this incident, or any of the individuals captured in the CCTV images released today, is asked to contact police on 101 or 0300 333 3000, quoting incident number 92S 260512.
"Alternatively, please remember that Crimestoppers can also be called anonymously on 0800 555 111 to leave information without identifying yourself."
