Chance To Call-In On Local Police In Ludlow
People visiting Ludlow town centre later this month are being offered the chance to chat to their local policing team.
A drop-in surgery is being held by local officers at Yeo's newsagents and café in Tower Street, from 10am to 12pm on Tuesday, August 24.
It's an opportunity for shoppers and other visitors to the town to meet Ludlow's Local Policing Officer PC Dan Wood and Community Support Officers David Bell and Lisa Thomas.
The session follows a similar surgery conducted in June which proved so popular that the team felt it was well worthwhile repeating. If there is sufficient interest it may become a regular event.
CSO Bell said visitors to the June surgery took away security packs and ultra-violet marker pens to help safeguard their valuables. Cycle security stickers and purse chains were also handed out.
"We want to encourage people to attend because it's an opportunity for them to have a word about any issue of concern. Even if they have no concerns, it's nice to be able to meet local people informally and we are grateful to the proprietors of Yeo's for making the venue available to us."
He added: "So if you are passing by in Tower Street during the two-hour period on the 24th, do call in. We'll also have home and cycle security information on hand again".
Since the previous drop-in surgery, the local policing team has held successful PACT (Partners and Communities Together) events in Ludlow's Market Square and at the Ludlow Youth Festival on Wheeler Road playing fields.
