Cyclist Named By Police After Kidderminster Collision

The cyclist who died following a road traffic collision has been named by police as Arthur William Bough from Kidderminster.

Mr Bough, aged 78, died after an incident yesterday (19 July) at around 9.15am at the junction of the A451 Stourport Road and Sutton Park Road. The collision involved a bicycle and a lorry.

An air ambulance attended and the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by a doctor.

The lorry driver arrested is a man in his 40s from South Wales. He was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving yesterday and has been released on police bail while inquiries continue.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call PC James Stephens at the Force Operational Support Team in Rubery on the non-emergency number 101, quoting the incident reference 98-S-190712.

The family of Mr Bough do not want to speak to the media and we would ask that they be left alone to grieve in peace.  We do not have a photograph of Mr Bough at the moment.
