Drugs Arrest In Kidderminster

A man has been arrested after police seized cannabis plants and equipment being used to cultivate the drug at a flat in Kidderminster.

Offices executed a search warrant at a flat in Witley Close on the Rifle Range estate on Tuesday, 8 November, and discovered a cannabis growing operation in a bedroom and living room.

A total of 19 cannabis plants were found along with a quantity of harvested cannabis. Police seized the drugs along with a large amount of hydroponics and other cultivation equipment including growing tents, filters, heaters and lamps.

A man was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis yesterday evening, Wednesday, 9 November, after attending Kidderminster police station.

He was released on police bail until 20th December, pending further inquiries.

Officers are appealing for members of the public who suspect drugs are being produced or supplied at an address to pass on the information by ringing West Mercia Police on 0300 333 3000 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
