Elderly Woman's Home Burgled In Redditch
Police are appealing for witnesses and information after jewellery worth thousand of pounds was stolen from an elderly woman in Redditch.
Offenders broke into the woman's home in Feckenham Road between 10pm on Friday, 16 December and 8.15am on Saturday, 17 December.
Items stolen include a gold Rolex watch, worth between £1,000 and £2,000, an 18 carat gold solitaire diamond engagement ring, worth £2,000, a 22 carat gold ring inset with four rubies, worth about £1,500, and a man's gold ring.
DC O'Reilly said: "The victim, who is in her 80s, was understandably shocked and upset to find her home had been burgled, and we are eager to hear from anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area on Friday evening or Saturday morning.
"As well as being high value the items have sentimental value and therefore if anyone is offered items for sale similar to those stolen are would urge them to call us as soon as possible."
