Family Tribute To Murder Victim Jackie Harrison

Jackie HarrisonThe family of Worcester murder victim Jackie Harrison have paid tribute to her ahead of her funeral, on what would have been her birthday.

Jackie - who would have been 49 today (Monday, 9 July) - was found dead at her flat in Gresham Road, Worcester on Thursday, 12 April.

Originally from Pershore, Jackie moved to Worcester around ten years ago. She leaves behind her father and brother who both still live in Pershore, two adult sons and two daughters - Zoe who lives in Evesham and Danielle who now lives in Walsall.

Sadly, Jackie struggled with alcohol dependency throughout her life and led a chaotic lifestyle, which meant she had not seen her family for a number of years.

Her daughters say they will be thinking of her on her birthday, ahead of Jackie's funeral later this week, and have this message for her: "Believe us when we say you've never been forgotten and will always be loved.

"Throughout our lives we've craved your love and support, but now you're safe with the angels above.

"Although you had your demons, you aren't to feel guilty and never to feel worthless. There are many people past and present who care for you and now wish you peace.

"Happy birthday Mum. Sweet dreams. All our love, your daughters."

Jackie's funeral will take place at 1.30pm on Thursday, 12 July at Worcester Crematorium.

There will be family flowers only, with any donations to Maggs Day Centre - a service which aims to help the homeless and socially isolated in Worcester.

  • William Joseph Cummins of no fixed abode was charged with murdering Jackie Harrison in April. He has been remanded into custody and is due to face trial later this year.
