Fishing Gear Stolen In Kidderminster Burglary
Police are appealing for information about expensive fishing equipment stolen in a burglary from a house on Queen Elizabeth Road in Kidderminster.
The incident happened between 10pm on Wednesday, 30 November and 6am on Thursday, 1 December.
The offender got into the utility room of the property through a back door and stole fishing rods worth £1,800.
DC Phillipa Charlesworth from Kidderminster CID said: "The victim is a keen fisherman and this burglary has greatly impacted on him as it will take him some time to save the money to buy new rods.
"The rods had been custom made for the owner and are all identical. They are 12 feet long, with small silver and black Shimano Long Cast reels, with the initials 'MR' engraved on them and have a black carbon gloss finish. The rods were in a distinctive large, green bag with a yellow logo spelling out the word 'TRACKER'.
"Whoever committed this burglary hasn't just stolen some fishing rods; they've taken the owner's hobby from him.
"I would urge anyone who has been offered these items or knows their whereabouts to get in touch."
Anyone with information about this incident can contact DC Charlesworth on 0300 333 3000, quoting 36S 011211. They can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
