Fishing Tackle Worth Up To £5,000 Stolen In Market Drayton Area
Police in Market Drayton are investigating two incidents in which fishing tackle worth up to £5,000 was targeted by thieves.
They gained entry to a garage at a home in Quarry Bank and stole rods, poles, fishing boxes and various sundry items including ground bait worth up to about £2,000.
It happened between 8pm on Thursday and 9am Saturday.
In a separate incident, fishing equipment was stolen from the canal side near the Wharf Tavern, Goldstone. The owner, who was night fishing, was camping and asleep nearby when the items were taken between 12.30am and 2.15am on Saturday.
The equipment, worth about £3,000, included three Harrison Torex rods, three Basier QDX reels, three Fox RX alarms and three Calder Bobbins.
