Five Hurt In Boxing Day Crash Near Kidderminster

Police are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision between Kidderminster and Stourbridge during which five people were injured.

It happened at 1pm on Boxing Day, Monday 26th December, on the A451 at Axborough crossroads.

A black Mitsubishi Colt was in collision with a red Peugeot 306.

The Mitsubishi driver, a 77-year-old woman, sustained a broken collar bone.

Her passenger, a 75-year-old man, was trapped in the vehicle for some time before being freed.

The Peugeot driver, a 34-year-old man, sustained a cut leg, and the front seat passenger, a 30-year-old woman, was also injured. The rear seat passenger, a five-year-old girl, sustained cuts to her face.

All five were taken to Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley.

The man and the child from the Peugeot were released after treatment, the woman from the Peugeot was discharged on Tuesday 27 December, and the elderly couple from the Mitsubishi were discharged yesterday, Wednesday 28th December.
