Four Arrested After Metal Thefts In Redditch And Rubery
Four people have been arrested on suspicion of metal thefts in Redditch and Rubery.
A member of the public contacted police just after 2am today, Friday 9 December, to say two men were stripping lead from the roof of the Spar at the Winyates Centre.
Two men were arrested on suspicion of theft and are currently in custody assisting with inquiries.
In a separate incident, police on patrol in New Road, Rubery, just after 4am yesterday morning, Thursday 8 December, investigated after hearing noises coming from the Co-Op supermarket.
A man and a youth were arrested, and have subsequently been charged with the theft of six steel roll cage pallets worth £780.
The man is due before Redditch magistrates on 20th December and the youth is due before the same court on 22 December.
