Franche Residents Invited Along To An Evening Of Crime Prevention

Police are inviting local residents along to a crime prevention evening being held at Franche Community Primary School in Chestnut Grove, Kidderminster between 6pm and 9pm on Wednesday 10 March.

Members of the Habberley, Blakebrook and Franche Local Policing Team will be on hand to offer advice on a range of crime prevention measures, including home and vehicle security. They will also be offering free property marking at the event.

They will be joined by Wyre Forest Community Housing wardens who will be available to give advice on anti-social behaviour and by Neighbourhood Watch representatives who will be explaining the benefits of having a Neighbourhood Watch scheme in the area and hoping to attract some new members.

Local Policing Officer PC Paul Noke, who will be at the crime prevention evening with CSO Nicky Merson, said: "We hope local people will call by at the school on Wednesday 10 March to meet their local policing team and take advantage of the advice available.

"Thankfully this area of Kidderminster has low crime levels but there is still a lot people can do to further protect their homes and property. We'll be able to answer any specific questions or concerns people may have and we'll also have a range of literature giving more detailed advice."

He added that everyone is welcome at the evening and that there will be refreshments available.
