High Performance Motorbike Stolen In Hagley Burglary
Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a high performance motorcycle was stolen in a burglary in Hagley.
It happened between midnight and 6.50am this morning (Wednesday, 30 November) in Bromsgrove Road.
Thieves broke in to a house and stole keys for a blue Yamaha R1 motorcycle, worth around £5,500, before taking it from the property's garage along with a crash helmet worth about £500.
Detective Constable Adam Pugh of Bromsgrove CID said: "It is clear the thieves specifically targeted this motorcycle as they moved a car out of the way to get it out of the garage.
"We are eager to hear from anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area overnight. We believe the Yamaha was pushed some distance from the house and then ridden away from the scene so we would like to hear from anyone living around there who might have been disturbed by a bike being started up outside their property in the early hours."
Witnesses or anyone with information should contact DC Pugh on 0300 333 3000, quoting incident 35-S-301111, or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
