Internet Safety Sessions Launched in Peterchurch
Local policing teams based in Peterchurch are giving their local communities an opportunity to increase their awareness of the pitfalls of the Internet, particularly in respect of youngsters using the facility.
A series of three Internet Safety sessions have been organised at community venues in Kingstone, Peterchurch and Much Birch.
The object of the evenings is to make adults, especially parents, aware of the dangers that can be experienced when using the Internet (such as Internet grooming, unsuitable material and chat rooms) and how to protect themselves and their children against those dangers.
The guest speaker at each evening will be Detective Constable Simon Davies from West Mercia Police's HQ Public Protection Unit.
The sessions have been arranged for:
- Kingstone Village Hall - Tues 15th September - 7.30pm to 9.30pm
- Peterchurch Community Centre - Weds 16th September - 7pm to 9pm
- Much Birch Village Hall - Thurs 17th September - 7pm to 9pm
If you'd like to understand and learn more, do come along to one of the sessions and meet members of your local policing team. Admission is free.
