Jewellery Stolen In Broadway And Malvern Burglaries
Police in Worcestershire are appealing for information about two separate burglaries which happened in the south of the county this week.
A house on Church Street in Broadway was broken into between 10.45am and 12pm on Monday, 9 July.
Offenders got into the property through the front door and stole silverware and jewellery worth over £2,000. Items stolen include an antique pearl necklace, a gold necklace with a diamond pendant and silver sapphire drop earrings.
In what is thought to be an unconnected incident, a house on Belvoir Bank in Malvern was burgled between 8am and 4pm on Tuesday, 10 July.
It was broken into via patio doors at the back of the property, where a flat screen television, perfume and various items of silver jewellery - including five bracelets and three necklaces - were stolen.
Detective Sergeant David Knight from Worcester CID said: "We do not believe that these incidents are linked due to the distance between the two locations.
"However, both of the burglaries happened during daylight hours in residential areas, so there is a chance that local people may have witnessed something which could help us with these investigations.
"I would appeal to anyone who may have seen any suspicious vehicles or people in the areas related to these incidents to call us as soon as possible."
Anyone with information about these incidents can call Det Sgt Knight on 0300 333 3000 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. The incident reference for the Broadway burglary is 219S 090712 and the reference for the Malvern break-in is 131N 100712.
