Kidderminster Canal Robbery Arrest
Police investigating a robbery in which the victim was thrown into a Kidderminster canal have arrested a man.
The incident began outside Tribe nightclub in Green Street in the early hours of Sunday 30 September.
Two groups were in confrontation, which led to one of the groups being chased to the canal towpath.
A man in his early 20s was assaulted on the towpath, and had his iPhone 4, worth £250, stolen from him before he was thrown into the canal. He was then pulled out by another member of the group.
A man was arrested yesterday, Wednesday 17 October, on suspicion of robbery and is currently in custody at Kidderminster Police Station where he is assisting with inquiries.
