Laptop Stolen In Stourport House Burglary
A laptop was among property stolen after a burglar broke into a house at Stourport.
Police are appealing for witnesses and information and asking people to look out for the stolen items following the break-in at a property in Wilden Lane, near the junction with Bigbury Lane, between 10am and 3.40pm on Wednesday, May 2.
A window was forced and property taken from the dining area and a bedroom. The haul included an Acer Aspire laptop, a bright green Rolla laptop bag with shoulder straps, an Apple iPod, five pairs of gold creole earrings together worth around £250, a blue beach bag and a children's watch with an orange face and orange Velcro strap.
Adrian Bartlett from the burglary investigation team at Kidderminster Police Station said: "The householder was working in the garden and then went out at about 11.30am. It is more likely that this burglary happened after that when the property was empty.
"The type of items stolen would have been easy to carry away so we are interested in any sightings of someone coming from the property or any unusual activity in that area at the time.
"Some of the stolen items are quite distinctive and we would also like to hear from anyone who may come across them or be asked to buy them.
"People living in that area also need to be aware this has happened and to take whatever measures they can to ensure their homes are secure as well as look out for any people or vehicles in suspicious circumstances."
Anyone with information should call officers at Kidderminster CID on 101, quoting incident reference 523-S-020512, or pass it on anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
