Large Quantity Of Wire Stolen From Tern Hill Farm
Farmers are being urged to contact police if offered rolls of wire following a theft from farm premises in the Tern Hill area.
Police believe the thieves may try to sell the wire on to farmers in the area.
Nine rolls of pig wire worth £450 and 25 rolls of high tensile fencing wire worth £1,000 were stolen from a farm shed between 2pm last Thursday and 8.30am today.
The investigating officer, PC Mark Hobden said: "It's possible the offenders will try to sell the wire to other farmers. I would urge anyone who is approached to contact Market Drayton police station on the 101 non-emergency number.
"I am also appealing for any information concerning the theft and the identities of those responsible."
Information can also be given to the anonymous Crimestoppers independent charity by calling 0800 555 111.
