Man Arrested After Drugs Warrant - Malvern

A man has been arrested following a drugs warrant at a Malvern address.

Malvern officers conducted the warrant in Elgar Avenue last night (24 June) at around 22:30.

A number of cannabis plants were found and a man in his 30s was arrested and today (Friday) charged with possession of a controlled drug, Class B Cannabis.

He was bailed and is due to appear before Worcester Magistrates on July 9, 2010.

Sgt Simon Arinze led the warrant. He said: "Officers searched the premises under Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act after information was received from a member of the public.

"It was a good result which we hope reassures the public that we act on information received."
