Man Arrested After Woman’s Death - Worcester
Police searching for wanted man William Cummins, in connection with the death of Jacqueline Harrison, have arrested a man in Dorchester, Dorset, today (Sunday 15 April).
The 51 year old man was arrested on suspicion of murder. Jacqueline, aged 47, was found dead at her flat in Gresham Rd, Worcester, on Thursday 12 April.
A post mortem examination the following day showed that she had suffered significant assault injuries.
Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who saw or spoke to Jacqueline in the last week of March or the first week of April. West Mercia officers have been working with colleagues in Dorset and Kent as part of the murder investigation.
Detective Inspector Gerry Smith, from the Major Investigation Unit, at West Mercia Police said: "We are in the early stages of this inquiry and want to speak to Jacqueline's friends or associates who may know about her last movements. Anyone who saw or spoke to her in the last week of March or first week of April should ring the Operation Mallard incident room at Worcester police station by dialling 101."
