Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Malvern Metal Theft
A man has been arrested after an incident in Malvern overnight.
Patrolling officers searched Bradford Building Supplies, Pickersleigh Road, at around 2.59am today (September 2) after discovering a white van outside the premises under suspicious circumstances.
The white Renault Prima Van was found in the car park of the premises and loaded with rolls of lead worth around £7,000.
A man in his 20s was arrested on the A440 at Powick at 4.25am on suspicion of burglary. He remains in custody at Worcester Police Station while enquiries continue.
Police are appealing for information on the incident and would like to hear from anyone who saw a number of offenders in the area at the time, or the van being driven or parked in the area.
