Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Oswestry Burglaries

A 19-year-old man has been arrested in Oswestry on suspicion of carrying out burglaries in the town.

He was arrested yesterday in Victoria Street and taken into custody at Shrewsbury police station for interview.

The man is suspected of breaking into Cobbles café in Castle Court, Bailey Street on January 15 or 16 and stealing an electronic till with a small amount of loose change.

He is also suspected of breaking into a home in Edward Street at about the same time and stealing keys and a car.

The man was given police bail with conditions while inquiries continue.
