Man Bitten During Assault - Hollywood

Police are appealing for information following an assault on a man in Hollywood, North Worcestershire.

The man, who is in his late teens, had been out with friends at the Packhorse pub in Alcester Road on the evening of Friday 19 February and then left the pub at around 12.45am on the morning of Saturday 20 February, walking along the Alcester Road towards the Maypole.

When he was approximately 100 yards from the junction with Dark Lane, two males approached him from behind and pulled him to the ground. As he tried to get to his feet, the offenders punched him in the face and as he fell to the ground again, one of the males bit him on the nose. The offenders have then walked away in the direction of the Packhorse pub.

The victim was treated in hospital for head and facial injuries.

The offenders are described as male, aged around 20, 5ft 10inches tall with a medium build. Both were wearing dark duffle coat-style jackets with the hoods worn up, with one of them having a distinctive baseball cap type peak attached to the hood. One of the offenders is also believed to be white.

PC Richard Spillane from Bromsgrove police said: "While nothing was taken from the victim, this was a nasty assault and it's important that we identify those involved.

"If you witnessed the attack, saw the offenders in the area or feel you may know who they are from the descriptions given, please get in touch with us at the earliest opportunity."
