Man Charged With Cannabis Production In Kidderminster

A man is due to appear before magistrates after being charged with a drugs offence in Kidderminster following the execution of a search warrant.

The man, who is in his 30s, answered police bail on 21 December when he was charged with being concerned in the production of a Class B controlled drug, Cannabis. He was bailed again to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on Thursday, 5 January 2012.

The man was originally arrested on 9 November, the day after police executed a warrant obtained under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a flat in Witley Close on the Rifle Range estate in Kidderminster. Officers seized a quantity of cannabis and cannabis plants as well as equipment believed to be used for cultivation of the drug.
