Man Charged With Towpath Sexual Assault, Worcester
A man has been charged with a sexual assault that occurred on the canal towpath in Worcester on Sunday (19 August).
At around 8pm, a woman was jogging along the towpath from Bilford Road towards the city centre and was sexually assaulted by a man near to the footbridge at Wordsworth Avenue.
Matthew John Willis, aged 19, of Ombersley Road, Worcester, was arrested on Sunday and charged with sexual assault yesterday.
He appeared before Worcester Magistrates' Court today and remanded into custody to reappear on 28 August at the same court via a video link.
