Man Found Dead In Market Drayton Formally Identified

A man found dead close to the canal in Market Drayton has been formally identified as Wayne Parkes, aged 46, from Berrisford Road.

Mr Parkes was discovered on Thursday 30^th August 2012 in a field beside where the Shropshire Union Canal aqueduct crosses Berrisford Road.

An inquest will be opened by the Coroner for Shropshire, Mr John Ellery, in due course.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Mr Parkes death but are not looking for anyone else at this stage.
