Man Gets Three Years For Redditch Burglary
A man who burgled a home in Redditch has been jailed for three years in prison.
Arden Holness, aged 47 (date of birth 29/11/1964), of Noel Road, Ladywood, Birmingham, appeared at Worcester Crown Court on Wednesday, 12 September, for sentencing.
He had previously pleaded not guilty to burgling a home in Dewsbury Close, Redditch, on Friday, 6 April (2012), but was found guilty by a jury in July.
Mr Holness broke into the house and stole a quantity of cash and the keys to a BMW.
Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Dean Mowbray from Redditch CID said: "I hope this sentence given out by the court reflects how seriously burglary is viewed and we are committed to bringing offenders to justice."
"Burglary remains a top priority for West Mercia Police and those contemplating breaking into people's businesses and their homes should be warned that we will not hesitate to prosecute offenders."
