Matchborough PACT Street Meet Is A Big Success
Nearly 40 people were involved in Matchborough PACT's (Partners and Communities Together) first street meeting in Redditch, which had been hailed by organisers as a big success.
It was held in Dilwyn Close on Wednesday evening (18 August) when local concerns were discussed and the priority issues chosen for action were landscaping in that street and Felton Close, and dog fouling, anti-social behaviour and car nuisances in Felton Close.
Local Policing Officer PC Paul Downes, said: "It was a very successful evening and we were able to talk to people about a wide range of problems - and just as importantly, how to get them solved.
Councillor Juliet Brunner added: "Residents liked the street meet format and the opportunity to be able to come and air their concerns in a more informal setting. Many of them commented that they wouldn't have attended a formal meeting of the kind we have previously run at the local school."
Progress on the issues raised will be reported back at the next meeting in September.
