Moped And Power Tools Stolen In Albrighton Farm Burglary

A moped and various power tools were stolen by thieves who broke into various outbuildings at an Albrighton farm, near Shifnal.

Police have issued an appeal for information following the burglary at Sankey Farm, Whiston Hall between 5pm on Saturday and 8am yesterday.

It's believed the thieves drove into the farm yard and then forced their way into several outbuildings.

The main item stolen was a red and black Gilera 50cc scrambler moped, registration BX54UPN, worth £1000.  Other items included three Stihl power tools - a chainsaw, strimmer and hedgecutter - worth a total of £850.  Around £1,000 damage was caused to the buildings.

A Subaru Impreza car in one of the buildings was also broken into and damaged.

Police Constable Mike Jenkins, the investigating officer, said: "I am appealing for any information which might help me trace the offenders.  In particular, I want people to get in touch if they saw anything suspicious in that locality overnight on Saturday, or if they have possibly seen the Gilera moped since then."

Information to PC Jenkins at Shifnal police station on the non-emergency 101 number, or to the anonymous Crimestoppers independent charity on 0800 555 111.
